Core Yoga w/Pilates
Core Yoga/Pilates – This one hour class will promote improved posture and overall stability with strong back/hip and core muscles to support the entire body. Pilates for balance, core, and overall back strength is extremely helpful for a renewed, youthful body. The class will restore overall flexibility, plus relieve sore muscles and joints. The participant will gain an overall toning “feel” and look. The practice of yoga calms the mind, while relieving stress and anxiety; all factors which can also lessen depression and anxiety, and while building a strong and agile body.
Rationale for Core Yoga: without a strong core; we become increasingly unbalanced and susceptible to injuries. Likewise, without muscular agility, our overall stability and ability to engage in sports becomes challenging; especially as we age.
Class offering and practice for effectiveness: Classes are offered Mondays 6:30 PM & Fridays 9 AM with a homework assignment lasting 10-15 minutes to be practiced 3-4 more times of the week.
